I thought about the words of Jesus,”come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” The more I thought about those words I realized that maybe we often work to hard. Before you cut me off I’m thinking about work in a broad sense. Many of us continue to work far after we punch the clock or go home. We stress about things that we have no control over we worry about things that we cannot fix all the while working harder than any manual labor. Stress and worry will wear you down. So what did Jesus say to do, when you realize you are working too hard on things you can’t deal with he says “take my yoke upon you for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
If you are weary and heavy laden quit working so hard on the things that you can’t control and allow the Lord to be your strength.
