Everyday a Resurrection (recap from sermon)

“Everyday a Friday” is a great idea to sell books, everyone wants everyday to be something that they look forward to, something that you get excited about. But greater than a Friday, what if everyday was a resurrection? Can you imagine the excitement that the first disciples experienced when they not only heard but saw that Jesus was alive and had defeated death. It must have been amazing and truthfully it is still the greatest event in history. What if everyday was a resurrection day for you? In order for there to be a resurrection something has to die.

This is good news though, because when you “die to yourself” you become more like Christ and in each new day you have the opportunity to experience the new life, the resurrection. It is empowering to know that you are more than what people see, you are more than what you used to be, and the one you are becoming like is the Lord of lords the King of kings. Man, that gets you pumped up to live in the resurrection.
